Pseudogynecomastia
Quite a mouthful, this word pseudogynecomastia,
isn’t it? Let’s break it down:
“Pseudo”…means “false”[from the
Greek]
“Gyne”…means “woman”[from the
Greek]
“mastos”…means “breast”[from
the Greek]
As you can see from the above, any guy with this
condition does not actually have gynecomastia but a condition that looks
very much like it.
Pseudogynecomastia is, in fact, an accumulation
of fatty tissue on
the breasts as against the accumulation of glandular tissue, which occurs
in actual gynecomastia.
What all
this means is that a guy who is diagnosed with pseudogynecomastia is simply overweight/obese. There will,
obviously, be excess fatty tissue in other areas of the body such as the abdomen, back and
armpits.
From my experience as a Fitness Instructor,
pseudogynecomastia is more straightforward to eradicate than true gynecomastia.
Why? Well, the approach is only 3-fold and does not necessarily
have to involve the client's physician. The three areas that we have to address are those of exercise, diet and
lifestyle. Relatively easy, you might say, but there is a big hurdle to overcome first. Having worked with many
clients who were overweight, the first difficulty lies in getting the individual's mind right. Any guy who
has allowed his body to go downhill for a period of perhaps years will have to change his mindset quite
dramatically. The good news is that it can be done and the prize of a new body
won!

With
regard to exercise, it is highly recommended that the overweight/obese male be thoroughly checked over with
regard to Blood Pressure, Heart Rate and Lung Capacity by a physician or qualified fitness professional before
any workout. Additionally, the individual must be closely observed during his first workout and his program
adjusted accordingly. All qualified fitness personnel can advise on dietary changes because these will be
absolutely essential as well. The objective is, therefore, to lose weight overall and then gradually bring in
specific gynecomastia and pseudogynecomastia exercises.
In recent years several systems have come on to the market that use natural approaches: all
with a combination of specific Exercises, Diet and Herbal usage. All have been targeted at both guys who have
gynecomastia and pseudogynecomastia. These are worth a look and are dealt with in the article entitled "Best Of
Gynecomastia Treatments" elsewhere in this site.
Two of these gentlemen themselves suffered from
the thorny problem of how to lose chest fat and all three have many testimonials from guys that they have
helped. Here is just one:
"I Wish I Knew
What
You're Teaching Years Ago"
Hey Cliff!
This is really unique from most fat loss methods that I've read. The research and exercises are just pure gold to
know .... my chest has gotten to the point of firmness in just 33 days. I can feel it solidly,
having lost 19 pounds already!! I highly recommend this to anyone who has this condition. I wish I knew what you're
teaching years ago."

If you hate/can’t afford/can’t get to a gym
then first of all check out "The Chest Coach
System" in your quest to defeat your
gynecomastia or pseudogynecomastia for good.

In addition to the above, you may or may not be
aware of another natural product that has been marketed for some years now. This is a herbal formula
called "Gynexin" which targets subcutaneous adipose tissue[fatty cells] in the mammary glands. There is a
higher cost involved but, again, many people claim to have defeated their male breast growth as a result of
using the product.
If none of the above work[for most people they
probably will], then surgery will have to be considered. As I stress in other articles, do ensure that any
surgeon you choose is “Board Certified”. Also be aware that you insurers will regard any surgery as elective and
cosmetic and will not meet the tab!
Common sense tells you that the first solution
that you should seek ought to revolve around diet and exercise, particularly with regard to pseudogynecomastia..
Just to stress the obvious…get a physicians diagnosis first so that you know exactly what your problem
is.
Hope the above helps.
Bruce Barker.
