Pubertal Gynecomastia
Those years between 11 and 14 are crucial for young males in many ways- educational, emotional
and physical. It is the physical side that can cause severe distress and embarrassment if, for instance, they
are late developers or seem to be developing 'boy's breasts or 'boy's nipples.
We all know how cruel other young males can be. It’s virtually impossible for a young guy to
hide the fact that he is suffering from pubertal gynecomastia…in the shower room for instance. I can distinctly
remember the teasing of a friend of mine at school who had ‘boy breasts’. Not much was known about the the
condition then.
Any young guy with gynecomastia is going to attempt to hide his chest, adopt a hunched posture
or simply shun others. Neither is he likely to talk to his parents, which, of course, is a mistake, although
understandable. It is estimated by physicians that 40% of young males suffer from gynecomastia during childhood
and pubertal years up to the age of 14. In 75% of these the ‘boy breasts’ will disappear naturally within 2
years and a further 15% by 3 years. As a fitness instructor, my advice is to still have a chat with your
doctor/paediatrician for re- assurance as to how normal it is for boys to suffer temporarily from pubertal
gynecomastia…and to be patient!
For the remaining 10% some help will be needed, both from your doctor and from the adoption of
correct dietary/lifestyle/exercise habits. Indeed, some pubertal males who are overweight or obese may simply
have pseudogynecomastia[false gynecomastia]. This is simply an excess of adipose or fatty tissue on the chest
and not glandular tissue as is the case in true gynecomastia. In these cases a properly supervised
dietary/lifestyle/exercise program will get rid of those ‘boy breasts’ in a few months.

This is also a natural approach for the young man with pubertal gynecomastia to consider,
after, of course, checking with his parents and physician. That approach was developed by a gentleman called
Cliff Manchaster who suffered for some 16 years with ‘boys breasts’ and then ‘man boobs’ as he calls them.
He was so dissatisfied with the fact that conventional treatments did not work for him that he
developed his own all-natural system comprising 4 elements:
- Dietary
- Herbal
- Lifestyle
- Specific exercises
There are many testimonials on the site as well as a detailed account by Cliff as to his
journey of discovery in curing his gynecomastia. If you are a young guy reading this, don’t forget always to
check with your doctor and parents before doing anything!
Don't forget...the man who developed 'The Chest Coach
System' suffered as a boy and man.
